About Randy Sowash
Embedded Files
Born and raised in the Mansfield, Ohio area, I graduated cum laude from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I have worked as production artist, digital retoucher, graphic designer and art director. From 1999 to 2018, I co-owned and operated a graphic design and commercial photography studio named Visual Edge Imaging Studios in Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to my graphic design work, I have also created original pieces of artwork that have been published and exhibited in the United States and Europe. After a more than 20-year absence from painting to focus on Visual Edge, I have returned to my roots and have started creating original artwork again. For the past few years my work has been exhibited around the Mansfield / North Central Ohio region in various exhibitions and shows.
Recent News: I have two paintings displayed in two current exhibitions.
My painting "Memories Of A Distant Place" has been chosen to be displayed in the "Cabinet of Curiosities" Juried Art Exhibit held by the Mansfield Public Art Commission at the Mansfield / Richland County Public Library. The exhibition is scheduled to run from Sept. 14 through Nov. 13.
My painting "Just Another Typical Day in Mansfield - Looking South From Third St." is a part of the 5th Annual CrowFest Art Exhibit held at the Mansfield Art Center. The exhibition runs from Sept. 19 to Oct. 18.
