A painting is an wholly-human experience interacting with paint, brushes and canvas. At some point a piece of art takes on a life of it's own and begins to communicate back to the artist as to what direction to take.Â
I paint the world around us as I see it. I try to capture my reality, not only the sights, but the sounds, feelings and emotions as well. Each brush stroke telling its own unique story about myself and the mood at that moment. After viewing my work, I hope the viewer has a better understanding on how I experience the moment and also becomes more intently aware of their own reality, surroundings and senses helping them to savor the current moment.
